Remembering September 11

Twenty-five years after the September 11 attacks, EASD paused to remember the lives lost and the sacrifices made that day.

Senior Zachary Meredith played taps as students and staff observed a moment of silence. In classrooms, students learned about the events of September 11 and their lasting impact on our country.

For students born long after that morning, these lessons help them understand what was lost, the extraordinary bravery of the first responders and why the effects of September 11 are still felt today.

EA welcomed Rep. Summer Lee for a special visit today. She met with district leadership to discuss EA’s accomplishments, priorities, and needs before touring the school, visiting the Immersive Reality space, and stopping to talk with teachers along the way.
