This week we proudly celebrate National Assistant Principal Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize someone who truly embodies what it means to serve, lead, and support—Ms. Thurston!
At Tazewell Intermediate School, Ms. Thurston wears more hats than we can count. She is a counselor when students need guidance, a behavior specialist when challenges arise, a curriculum and instruction leader who helps drive academic success, and a coach who supports both teachers and students in reaching their full potential. She is also a phenomenal master scheduler, ensuring our school runs smoothly day in and day out—and if it involves math, she’s the brilliant mind behind it all!
What truly sets Ms. Thurston apart is her unwavering dedication. She consistently goes above and beyond in every aspect of her work, always putting students first and supporting staff with care, expertise, and heart.
