Happy National Police Woman Day!

Today, we proudly recognize the women of the North Syracuse Police Department who serve our community with strength, dedication, compassion, and courage.

Pictured are Officer Appel and Officer Meyer, along with a special shout-out to our newest female officer, Officer Stephens, who isn’t pictured but is very much a part of the NSPD family.

We are proud to have these incredible women wearing the badge and serving our community. And today, we extend our sincere thank you to all the women in law enforcement who put on the badge every day and serve with courage and commitment.

We Remember.

25 years later, September 11, 2001 remains a day that changed our nation forever.

As members of law enforcement, we remember the officers who put on their uniforms that morning and ran toward the danger. We remember the firefighters, EMTs, dispatchers, and countless first responders who answered the call, not knowing what the day and years ahead would bring.

Their courage and sacrifice remind us why we wear the badge: to serve, to protect, and to be there when our community needs us most.

Today, we honor their memory, their families, and all those whose lives were forever changed.

We will always remember. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

SCHOOL’S BACK IN SESSION!

Well, the backpacks are packed, the pencils are sharpened, and the alarm clocks are officially back on duty!

As students head back to school today, the North Syracuse Police Department reminds everyone to slow down and stay alert in our school zones.

Please:
• Slow down and obey posted school-zone speed limits
• Watch carefully for children crossing the street
• Be extra cautious around school buses and bus stops
• Put the phone down and keep your eyes on the road
• Allow yourself a little extra time for the morning commute

School-zone traffic is not the place to be in a hurry! Those few extra minutes are worth it when it comes to keeping our kids safe.

A VERY SPECIAL 6th Birthday Visit!
We had a very special visitor at the North Syracuse Police Department yesterday! This North Syracuse resident celebrated his 6th birthday with a station tour and got to see a little bit of what happens behind the scenes at the police department. 🚔
And of course, no birthday station visit would be complete without meeting Nova, our Public Safety Assistance Canine! Nova was happy to help make his birthday extra special!
