Last night we had our annual meeting and election of officers at the fire house. We started the evening with a delicious catered dinner and ended the night celebrating with some cake.

There were no major changes to the leadership of the department and we are looking forward to the next couple of years under their guidance! Congratulations to everyone and cheers to the future!

Come visit us this Friday for our last Fish N’ Chip for Lent!

Congratulations to the HOSA teams! We had the opportunity to help with healthcare topics over the last few years, and it was a rewarding experience for our members! This year one team met with our Lieutenant and Mental Health Resilience Officer to discuss first responder mental health.

On Friday, March 6th HOSA members attended the Rhode Island State Leadership Conference. All members had a chance to compete in events such as Forensic Science, Mental Health Promotion, Behavioral Health and more along with the opportunity to attend workshops. Today marks the first day of Lent, you know what that means~ Our annual fish and chips starts this Friday night!

Please come out and support us, we have dine in and take out available! We run our fundraiser for 7 weeks total, so if you can't visit us this week, there are other opportunities to have a meal with us.

As we throw ourselves into the holiday season this week, we wanted to take a minute and thank the Scituate High School students who are doing their HOSA project on mental health. These individuals put many thank you notes and mini stocking together for the public service entities in town, including our department. Each hand written note reminded us that the work we do is valued and appreciated by our community.

Thank you for your support and work in this important area.
