Thank you to the Pequenakonck Elementary School for inviting us to “First Responder Friday” where we welcomed students to school along with members of Croton Falls FD, North Salem PD, and Westchester County PD!

This past weekend, NSVAC members, along with members of several other EMS agencies from Westchester and Putnam Counties participated in a “Mass Casualty Incident (MCI)” training hosted by the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.

The training simulated the event of a “car vs. school bus” accident, resulting in the event of having multiple patients with various injuries. NSVAC responded to the “incident” with Ambulance 72B1 and Utility 185. Utility 185, housed at our headquarters, is one of Westchester County’s four “MCI Trailers”. The trailers are strategically placed throughout the county and contain a large amount of medical supplies to respond to and treat multiple patients at an MCI.

This past weekend, NSVAC participated in the Brewster Fire Department’s annual parade. Members had the honor of taking home the award for best ambulance!
