An update on when we will know "who won". In a communication today, the Hendricks County Voter Registration Office relayed they are still in the process of counting remaining Provisional Ballots and then preparing final results for certification. This means they will not have thier final election results ready to be submitted for certification untill next Friday, November 18th. Untill that time, we simply will not know the final outcome. This is the typical timeline and process. However, the races are rarely this close, so these final steps don't often get so much public attention.

After speaking with the election office here is the official status of the "unofficial" results as they stand today. Once the polls closed and the votes were tallied Mr. Williams leads by 5 votes. There are still a handful of provisional ballots and military overseas ballots in play that the election office has to count and certify. Given such a narrow margin I will wait untill the election office certifies the vote to be sure, but I do not expect any change.

I extend my congratulations to Brad Williams for a race well run and retaining the support required as the incumbent.

Congratulations to Jami Thompson and JD Love for securing the other two seats and bringing new voices to the Board. Thank you everyone in the community for the encouragement and support, clearly it was a race worth running given such a close margin. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Well folks you can't make this stuff up... it has come down to 5 votes.

However, one outlet reports me ahead by 5 and another says my opponent is ahead by 5. The county office website is down.... He and I talked tonight and decided to see what the county office says in the morning.

Thank you everyone for the text, social media, and neighborly sharing of support. Hopefully all that support and encouragement will turn into action tomorrow at the polls. Change was needed 2 years ago and I believe people know it is still needed now. Whatever you do, make sure to get out and vote!

There hasn't been a chance to do an official meet the candidates event this School Board election, despite community interest. As a result a few other candidates and I are offering to spread out in the southeast end of the gravel parking lot at Scamahorn Park in Pittsboro from 5-7 PM Thursday November 3rd. This was organized on very short notice for all the candidates so please understand that it is informal and completely voluntary. Please consider stopping buy on Thursday.

Do you have questions about why our kids are still E-Learning and what value it has? - I SURE DO!

Parents with kids at Triwest schools right now are fed-up and about to do another district delivered elective E-learning day. On these days the schools are functioning and open, the teachers are required to be in the building, but the students are at home practicing E-Learning... for what?! This doesn't work for Tri-West families, particularly our youngest elementary kids.

I have recieved many questions about "why isn’t there a meet the candidates event or debate?"

I dont have a good answer other than to say people did try to make it happen but it just didn't materialize.

For anyone voting in Northwest Hendricks School District. Everyone will have the option to vote on all 3 open seats of the 5 total seats that makeup the school board. Of the 3 open seats to be filled this election, 2 are running unopposed with new candidates (Mrs. Jami Thompson and Mr. JD Love) as both previous board members decided not to run again. That leaves 1 seat and it is the only contested race. That race is between the new candidate Zach Lowe (me) and Mr. Brad Williams who is the current President and over decade long member of the NWHS School Board.

I have provided my campaign flyer in the comments and at Elect Zach Lowe for NWHS School Board for your consideration ... and whatever you do please make sure to exercise our freedoms and go vote November 8th!

For those of you living in Northwest Hendricks School Corporation, I would appreciate your consideration to serve on the School Board when you vote in November.

Simply stated- I am disappointed in the previous inactions of the School Board and concerned the district is growing out of touch with our communities' values and the needs of student families. Instead of continuing to be frustrated about it, I'm offering to engage and help make thoughtful improvements to our Tri-West school district.
