North Ridgeville is taking a fresh look at the rules that guide how land is used and developed in our community. It hasn't been done here in decades.

The city is working on a Unified Development Ordinance, or UDO. It replaces our current patchwork of zoning and development regulations with one clear, consistent framework. In simple terms, it helps make the process easier to understand and better aligned with the community’s long-term goals. The zoning map is being updated as part of this work too.

The Planning Commission is currently reviewing the draft. Once a Public Review Draft is ready, residents will have the opportunity to read it, ask questions and share feedback.
