🐝Did you know that this week, June 22 to June 28 is National Pollinators Week? 🦋

Pollinators are all around in Nature Right Here: 🐦birds, 🐝bees, 🦋butterflies, moths, 🪲beetles, and more! 🌼Pollination occurs when pollen is moved or carried from one plant to another and is vital to our ecosystems 🌺.

There are waystations for pollinators in North Richland Hills located at the Common Ground NRH Community Garden, Adventure World, behind Walker's Creek Park and on the John Barfield Trail.

🌡️ We are entering that part of our Texas summer that includes high temperatures and a very high heat index.☀️

If you're heading out to enjoy our parks, trails, or green spaces, just a reminder with the heat to please put safety first. 🌳

Quick tips to beat the heat:
👉 Hydrate before you go and bring plenty of water 💦
👉 Wear sunblock, a wide-brimmed hat, and light-colored, loose clothing 🧢
👉 Take frequent breaks in the shade

📣 Know the difference: Heat stroke is a medical emergency (call 911 immediately). Heat exhaustion can quickly become one if symptoms last or worsen.
