What an Amazing early Pond photo from 1912. Holts Grove is in the Northeast corner of the Pond. I had no idea that there was a sign. Does anyone have family in the photo>

Too much fishing gear gets left behind in the Pond. Every year wildlife gets hurt from it. Please take it all with you.

This painted turtle had a rough weekend. They are known as “natural cleaners” as they consume carrion, dead fish, and decaying plants. This helps the environment by preventing the buildup of harmful toxins like ammonia and phosphorus in the water.

They weren’t built to clean our trash…

Please dispose of fishing gear properly.

The good news is the hook is now out and this little one is expected to make a full recovery. ❤️‍🩹
