JOB OPENING IN LINCOLN COUNTY ASSESSOR’S OFFICE

Position Available Immediately!!
Full time Lincoln County Appraisal Data Entry Clerk/Data Collector (Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.)

Salary:
$18.00 per hour starting salary (working a 35 hour week)
The County has an excellent benefit package; insurance, life insurance, & retirement with paid holidays, earned paid vacation & earned sick days as well.

Job Description:

• Must be able and willing to learn the computer CAMA system to do data entry on all properties and sales of property in Lincoln County.
• Must be able and willing to learn how to read legal descriptions, use cadastral maps, and the GIS website for mapping needs and for routing property record cards for review and inspections.
• Must have good people skills and good customer service skills when dealing with property owners in the office, in the field, and on the phone.
• Real-estate background helpful but not necessary (willing to train right person).
• Must have a valid Nebraska driver’s license to be used to do data collection work throughout Lincoln County when driving is necessary.
• Applicant may do data collection on commercial, residential, and agricultural property within Lincoln County when necessary.
• Applicant may take updated photos of improved commercial, residential, and agricultural property in Lincoln County when necessary.

April is County Government Month. Today is County Government Day. 150 area highschool students will be in attendance and touring the Courthouse and Detention Center. This gives them the opportunity to learn about how their local government works. They learn more about the duties and responsibilities of various offices. This years theme is America250 as we recognize and honor 250 years of history, liberty and self-government.
