A huge thank you to the crew at Mullen Ambulance Service for welcoming us out for a Landing Zone (LZ) class!

We had a fantastic time spending the evening with such an engaged and attentive group. Your thoughtful questions, active participation, and commitment to learning made for a great class and some excellent discussions.

Strong partnerships and ongoing training like this help ensure we’re all ready to work together when it matters most. Thank you for your dedication to serving your community and for making the evening both productive and enjoyable.

We appreciate the opportunity to train with you and look forward to seeing you again soon! 🚁

☀️🏖️ The summer heat has definitely arrived, and even our helicopter is getting into the beach spirit!

Thanks to some new sun shades, our helicopter is now sporting a tropical beach view complete with surfboards, umbrellas, and plenty of summer vibes. While we may not be spending our days relaxing by the lake, it’s a fun reminder of the season we’re in.

As many people head out to enjoy summer adventures, vacations, lakes, and beaches, our crew remains mission-ready 24/7. Whether you’re making memories on the water, at the campground, or anywhere in between, we’re prepared to answer the call when needed.

Until then, we’ll just enjoy our beach view from the hangar. 🌴🚁

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and enjoy your summer!

🚁 Teammate Tuesday 🚁
This week we're excited to introduce one of the newest members of our team, Nikki!
Nikki has been a paramedic for 14 years and just completed her first month with Air Methods. Originally from Amarillo, Texas, she grew up around the fire service through a volunteer fire department, which helped spark a lifelong passion for emergency services.
After moving to Nebraska in 2006, Nikki decided to pursue EMS, attending EMT class in 2011 and earning her paramedic certification in 2012. Since then, she has spent the majority of her career serving communities across the Nebraska Panhandle in both professional and volunteer roles. She continues to give back through her service with the Gurley Volunteer Fire Department.
When she's not caring for patients, Nikki enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have been married for 19 years and have two children, a daughter who is 19 and a son who is 16. The entire family shares a passion for powersports and can often be found racing motocross, riding motorcycles, camping, hunting, or fishing together.
We're excited to have Nikki on our team and look forward to the experience, dedication, and community-focused spirit she brings to our base.
Please join us in welcoming Nikki and thanking her for her commitment to serving others! 💙🚁

The past couple weeks have been incredibly busy with fun events for all of us at LifeNet North Platte, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

From attending community events, supporting local departments, participating in training opportunities, and teaching classes across the region, we’ve had the privilege of spending time with so many dedicated first responders, healthcare professionals, and community members.

We are grateful for the partnerships we’ve built with the agencies, departments, hospitals, and organizations we serve. These relationships are the foundation of what we do and help us continue working toward our shared goal of providing the highest level of care to the communities across western Nebraska and the surrounding area.

Thank you to everyone who has welcomed us into your stations, classrooms, training grounds, and events. We appreciate every opportunity to learn together, train together, and strengthen the connections that ultimately improve patient outcomes.

We look forward to continuing these partnerships and serving alongside all of you in the months ahead.

Together, we’re stronger. Together, we’re improving outcomes.

Today, we're celebrating the unsung heroes who keep us mission-ready and safe – our aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs). They're a humble group who work behind the scenes, but their impact is felt on every mission. From routine maintenance to critical repairs, our AMTs ensure that when the call comes in, our aircraft are ready to respond. Their skill, dedication, and attention to detail make all the difference. Please help us give a big shout-out to our amazing maintenance team! 🛠️🚁

EMS Week 💙 Service Spotlight Saturday 🚑🚁

The commitment to EMS doesn’t end when the flight suit comes off.

Four members of our crew also dedicate their time volunteering with their hometown ambulance services, continuing to care for their communities both in the air and on the ground. Along with our medical director Dr Smith serving as physician medical director for several volunteer ground services.

Whether responding to emergencies locally or transporting critically ill and injured patients across the region, their passion for serving others remains the same, no matter the uniform they’re wearing that day.

We’re incredibly proud of the dedication Mark, Josh, Deb, Bre and Dr Smith show to EMS, their communities, and the patients who depend on them.

Thank you to all volunteer EMS providers who continue to answer the call when their communities need them most.
