Please support Measure 34-302, it a tax $.03 tax on gas in the City of North Plains.

It will be used to pay for sidewalks or street projects. These are very expensive and the City has no source of revenue to build them.

I am not a fan of taxes, but I am supporting this one. There is around 5 million gallons of gas sold per year in North Plains. This tax would generate $150k a year at that rate. The plan is to use this tax to service a loan that would do a lot of improvements now.

It is going to be tough to meet with each of you especially now in the time of Covid. It is hard to pass a tax, so I want to get the measage out that this tax is a passive tax and the improvements to the walkablity of the city will be something that is long over due and we currently have no way to pay for it.
