The Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians Tribal Fire Department Crew are always ready to jump into action when community members are in need.

Our Crew along with other local agencies helped an Elder in the community who needed brush clearing and removal of dead vegetation.

Defensible space is one of the most effective tools to protect homes from a wildfire. It provides firefighters the room they need to safely do their job.

August is Emergency Management Awareness Month

The role of an emergency management team is to save lives and protect property before disaster strikes. We would like to recognize the dedication of emergency managers and the importance of preparedness. They work tirelessly to plan for, coordinate during, and help communities recover after emergencies, safeguarding lives and property.

Emergency management isn't just about reacting to crises; it's about building resilience and minimizing risks for a stronger future.

Join us in appreciating their efforts and consider how you can be better prepared!

Stop on Red

Half of all fatalities in red light running crashes are pedestrians, bicyclists, and occupants in other vehicles. Innocent lives are lost because someone chose to run a red light. Let's protect each other and always Stop On Red.

Your actions make a difference! "
