Meeting September 10, 2026, 7:15 pm Community Cabin
Thank you
Thank you so much for helping to make our picnic a success! Thank you to all who brought hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, cake, drinks and such a wide variety of goodies too many to mention and to all who pitched in to set up and clean up! Thank you to gourmet Bbq Chef Patrick Kelly, who kept the burgers and hot dogs coming and Chris Glassburn for helping to organize.
Thank you to those who helped at our tent or visited at Homecoming. We had many discussions and inquiries! Our vendor was quite pleased with sales for the delicious ice cream!
The activities, music, food, and just getting together with friends and neighbors made Homecoming a success, even though parts were a bit soggy. But, you can't stop the rain! Just an historical note: The North Olmsted Homecoming Festival began in 1945 as a community celebration to welcome home local soldiers returning from World War II.
Congratulations
A big congratulations to Brian Hall, 2026 Democrat of the Year, so well deserved! Check out the Maple School Produce Market, in which Brian is very active. See the dates below. You can also sign up to help and it's quite rewarding. More information for sign-ups at the meeting.
T-shirts
T-shirts are in so if you were unable to pick yours up at the Picnic or Homecoming, they will be available at our meeting. If you are unable to attend, let me know via email or FB messenger and I will arrange delivery or pickup for you! Thank you Madison Graphics, a union shop and Sam Salim. The t-shirts are very nice! On a first come first served, we do have a few extras: 1 Medium, 1 Large, 4XL, and 2-2XL
Meeting
A representative for Brian Poindexter will be speaking at our meeting. Ongoing events for Poindexter were emailed a few days ago. A fundraiser will be held September 18 at Tartine from 5:30-7:30 pm. Upcoming information about the fundraiser and other events for Poindexter will be emailed as they become available. This is such an important race for our District 7!
Pertinent information, some yard signs, candidate visits, and other information will be available at the meeting.
Westshore (Bay, Fairview, North Olmsted, Rocky River, Westlake) Event with Sherrod Brown and David Pepper as keynotes
A well-attended, enthusiastic and successful event was held at the Rocky River Memorial Hall on Friday August 28 with speakers Sherrod Brown and David Pepper. Elected officials and candidates were introduced by David Brock, County Chair. Brian Poindexter, Congressional Candidiate District 7 spoke of the importance of his race as his district covers the Westshore including our city of North Olmsted (no need to mention his opponents name here, but he's been in the news quite a bit for domestic issues). This is a winnable race, not only because of his opponents issues, but Poindexter is by far the better person and candidate.
Vote by Mail
Larose is sending mail applications to households or you can go to this link to print an application from the Cuyahoga County board of Elections. https://boe.cuyahogacounty.gov/docs/default-source/boe/voters/votebymailapplication.pdf?sfvrsn=f802f13_25
As mail in ballots must be returned by election day, know your candidates and vote early. Democratic sample ballots will be mailed, emailed here, and posted on our page.
Ballots can be tracked by mail at the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections. You just need your last name and birthdate. It shows when your request was received, ballot mailed, and ballot received.
***Remember ballots will be mailed around and after October 6, so don't delay.

On a personal note from Tina
Thank you for all your support during my husband John Parker's long journey. John was an integral part of our Democratic Club, first as a member and then an officer. Thank you to our State Rep Chris Glassburn and our Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones for their recognition by Memory Proclamation of John's devotion to the Democratic Party and the Community of North Olmsted. Thank you to all who came to the memorial service celebrating John's life. It was a life well-lived and he will be missed. I hope to continue our dedication to the Club and the Democrats. Thank you Chris Glassburn for holding up the club. I am trying to thank each one of you personally. It's overwhelming. Just know, I am grateful beyond words for your support. 🩵🩵🩵
Track the status of your Vote-by-Mail ballot, from when it was mailed to you all the way through until the board of elections receives it and counts it.
