Thanks to everyone who stopped by the City of North Oaks table at Farm Fest yesterday. Mayor Wolter, and Councilors Gaspard and Azman enjoyed spending the beautiful day meeting residents in our North Oaks Community!

Planning Commission Public Hearings 9.24.2026:

At the Thursday, September 24th, 2026 7 p.m. Planning Commission meeting, there will be four public hearings taking place.

- -6 Cherrywood Circle - Land alteration for grading in excess of 100 cubic yards
- 3 Thompson Lane - Septic Variance
-14 Ridge Road - Comp Plan amendment to modify maps 1, 16, and 17 to expand City sewer
- Chippewa Middle School, Incarnation Church, Peace Church - Establish a new Public/Institutional Zoning District and a zoning map amendment to reclassify 3 parcels from Residential Single Family Medium Density to Public/Institutional Zoning District

Abutter letters have been sent to those within 350 feet of each property and public hearing notices published in the Shoreview Press as required.

The public hearing notices can be viewed on the City website with the full Planning Commission packet to be published on Monday September 21st.

Automated License Plate Reader Q & A Session Highlights

On Thursday, September 10th at 5:30 p.m., there was a question & answer session regarding the automated license plate reader (ALPR) program in North Oaks.

Planning Commissioner Berchenko presented information on how ALPR works in North Oaks and the impact of the program in the first year of use. Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher and Undersheriff Ramacher were also on hand to answer questions from residents.

North Oaks Women's Guild Rummage Sale benefitting Children's Hospital Minnesota starts tomorrow!

The Shoreview ice arena will be filled to the brim with items in a large variety of categories such as furniture, kitchen goods, home decor, kids' games and toys, electronics, holiday decor, bikes, outside tools, small appliances, books, video's, shoes, designer clothing, rugs, pictures, sporting goods gear and more! Stop out to check out the items and support this great cause.

One of the City recycling trucks is having some mechanical issues this morning (Tuesday, September 8th), so there may be some delays in pick-up. Please leave your cart out if your recycling is not picked up and it will be picked up tomorrow.

The North Oaks City Hall office will be closed on Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day Holiday. Happy Labor Day, North Oaks!

There will be NO change to recycling pickup this week due to the holiday. Please plan to set your cart out on your regularly scheduled day of the week.
