City of North Oaks

City of North Oaks North Oaks is a unique suburban community located just northeast of St. Paul, Minnesota. Approximately 5000 residents call North Oaks home.

With a rich history and emphasis on retaining the natural environment, North Oaks will be celebrating its 75th anniversary in the year 2025. Because residents' properties extend to halfway across the road, all residential roads in the City are private and for the use of North Oaks residents and their invited guests only. The City owns no property. With residents owning the roads, the North Oaks Home Owners' Association owns the park and recreation areas and trails throughout the City.

Please be aware, a black bear sighting was reported in 5000 block of Hodgson Road last night (the area just north of the Wildflower entrance). Residents in this area should consider taking measures to make their property less bear-friendly by removing bird feeders, storing their garbage cans and grills in a secure area to encourage the bear to deter repeat visitation and encourage it to move safely along its natural way. For tips on minimizing bear problems, visit https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/livingwith_wildlife/bears/homes.html
