May has been a beautiful, busy and meaningful month for Sant La and our community. From Haitian Heritage Month celebrations and 10 Days of Connection events to Mother's Day gatherings, graduations, advocacy efforts and our 26th Annual Fundraising Gala, we've had countless opportunities to celebrate our culture, strengthen relationships and uplift one another.

But amid all the activity, we would be remiss if we didn't pause to recognize that May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. 💚

Mental health challenges continue to affect millions of individuals and families. In fact, more than 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience a mental illness each year, and many still struggle to access the support they need.

As we celebrate our resilience, heritage and achievements, let us also remember the importance of rest, connection, healing and self-care. Checking in on ourselves and each other is not a luxury—it's essential.

Thank you for making this month one filled with culture, community and care. As we turn the page to June, let's carry forward the same spirit of celebration while making space for our mental and emotional well-being.

💚 Your health is your wealth.

Happy Haitian Mother’s Day! 💐🇭🇹

This month, Sant La had the privilege of celebrating the incredible mothers in our community through two special Mother’s Day gatherings—one for our FSNP Pote Kole participants and another for our Grandèt Branche/Silver Connections participants.

As Haitian Heritage Month comes to a close, we are grateful for the opportunity to honor the women whose love, strength and sacrifice help shape our families and communities every day.

To all the mothers, grandmothers and mother figures in our community, thank you. We celebrate you today and always.

Haitian Heritage Month kept us on the move! 🇭🇹

This jam-packed month of celebration and community engagement included Leonie sharing Haiti’s rich history with visitors at the Toussaint Louverture statue, celebrating the graduation of Innovation Academy students, participating in a community focus group in partnership with FIU, attending the Solidarité Miami Council meeting and much more.

Every event was an opportunity to connect, learn, advocate and celebrate the strength and resilience of our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this Haitian Heritage Month one to remember.

A look back at how we kicked off Haitian Heritage Month! 🇭🇹

From the North Miami Beach Kids & Kompa Fest and the Little Haiti Book Festival to the North Miami Beach Small Business Summit & Expo and the National Day of Prayer Interfaith Breakfast, we've been proud to celebrate, connect and engage with our community throughout the month.

Thank you to our partners, supporters and community members who continue to make these moments meaningful.
