The North Mankato Civic and Commerce Association has ended its decades-long involvement in organizing the annual Fun Days celebration.

Many of you have spoken to me or others about your shock and displeasure with the City of North Mankato for basically setting up a hostile takeover of Fun Days from the Civic & Commerce Association.

Complaining is fine but until you speak up, nothing will change. Please contact council members and/or show up at the council meeting on Monday night at 7:00 pm at City Hall.

This 9 year old boy who drowned at the North Mankato pool a few days ago was one of my grandson’s good friends. Heartbreaking.
