Small yellow male lab hanging around about 2.5 miles from Lower North. (East of Rockford and Judson Bottom Rd) Friendly and playful. Orange collar no tags. Has been in some swampy water today. Some "scratches" on face probably stick encounters

No sand or ice on the North Mankato end of the Judson bottom Road, but with all the potholes and piles of tar overflowing holes there seems to be some traction as you drive

This buddy is on the Judson bottom Road by the Goettlicher hill-a couple miles out maybe from lower North Mankato . Hope no one hits him. No caller. Also hope he wasn't abandoned out here.

The Judson Bottom Road is open! Yay! Please drive with care, enjoy your surroundings and watch out for our children, grandchildren and pets, also pedestrians and bicyclists! Of course, as always, watch for falling rocks!

At last night's city Council meeting, the decision was made to clear some larger overhanging rocks,; if that is successful, there's a possibility that the road could open as early as the end of this week. Thank you to all who answered surveys and gave your input to the city, because the best option for all is to try to save the Judson Bottom Road, Lookout Drive and properties beyond that.

The city has made up their own survey. Please take it.
When they ask who should pay?
Who pays for all the other roads? Who was committed to the road and it was well maintained? Nicollet County.
Who took over that end of the road and took the money to maintain for other projects? North Mankato.
So who should pay? Maybe the shift of money should be returned for starters and that small portion of the road should be paid for the same way all others are.
Is there a great grant writer out there? Possibly we could get another one and just keep it from being taken.

Please sign this petition if you have not already. It has been five years and another group of rocks has fallen on the bottom road after the unusual rains and heavy flooding this year. They can be cleared and the road could be open. It is a travesty to lose such a important road for many, whether it's to commute or to enjoy at your leisure. The likelihood of getting hit by a rock on the bottom road is less than that of getting hit by a rock on Lee Blvd., which has happened.
