The Town of North Manchester is excited to host an Open House at the North Manchester Wastewater Treatment Plant on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at one of the community’s most important facilities and learn how our dedicated team works every day to protect public health and our local waterways.

Storm Damage Pickup Notice

Town crews will be going around town on Monday, June 15 to pick up storm damage.

Please place limbs and branches out by the curb for pickup. To help crews work safely and efficiently, please do not block streets, sidewalks, or storm drains.

This adventurous little pup was found wandering around Warvel Park, apparently on a self-guided “sniffari” and possibly looking for the snack bar.

They are now safe with Sergeant Houser at the Public Safety Office, enjoying the VIP treatment: cool AC, fresh water and probably wondering why humans make such a fuss over solo park tours.

If this is your four-legged explorer, please contact the Public Safety Office so they can trade in their temporary office job for a ride home. 982-8555

Water Main tie in is happening now around East Street. Water is off from 7th to 9th on Ruse and on 9th from Ruse to East. Notes delivered yesterday to those effected. Boil advisory advisory through Friday morning.

Phones at Town Hall and the Utility office will be offline all day due to a fiber line issue. Walk in payments for the utility will be accepted. We can not accept credit cards at this time. Sorry for the inconvenience

We’re looking for the right person to join our team!

The Town of North Manchester is accepting applications for a full-time Water Utility Technician in our Water Department.

This is a hands-on position that helps keep clean, reliable water flowing for our community. The right person will be dependable, willing to learn, comfortable working outdoors, and ready to be part of a team that serves North Manchester every day.

Starting wage: $23.77/hour

No water certifications yet? That’s okay! We will help you get the certifications you need.

This position is a great fit for someone who:
✅ Enjoys hands-on work and learning new skills
✅ Is comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather
✅ Can use hand and power tools
✅ Has basic computer and recordkeeping skills
✅ Communicates well with coworkers and the public
✅ Is interested in working with water meters, pumps, valves, trucks, equipment, water lines, leak detection, and water treatment operations
