Congratulations to Charles Lucas on his promotion to Colonel! Col. Lucas spends a lot of time working at the Directorate of Military Support but he is actually assigned in the U.S. Army Reserves as the Emergency Preparedness Liaison Officer for the State of Arkansas.

It was super hot this afternoon but JFHQ didn’t let the heat put a damper on their family day. They enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, football, baggo, fishing, an obstacle course bounce house, a slip and slide with a sprinkler, good food, and great family/unit camaraderie. We had over 120 participants at Lake Jewitt on Camp Robinson. Thanks to all of those that helped set up, tore down, and participants. Honorable mention to DCSPER who could not attend because they where completing SRPs for deploying and CRF units as well as working promotion boards.

This past weekend JFHQ bittersweetly changed out First Sergeants. After a more than successful five year stint, 1SG Leslie Hughley-Saddler is retiring with over 20 years of active federal service and handed off the NCO Saber to incoming First Sergeant Brian Mills who also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the fight.
