Job description
Arkansas Valley Communications is a Motorola radio and service shop currently searching for a lead installer to become an integral part of our team! You will perform hardware installation on public safety vehicle fleets, including police, fire, ems, public works, etc.

Ideal candidate is skilled with experience working on 12V systems, audio and communications systems. Responsible for installation, troubleshooting, programming, testing, and inspection of radio equipment and other duties as assigned. They will be self-starters and problem solvers who can work together in a team environment or individually without constant supervision.

Install cabling
Perform on-site troubleshooting when necessary to complete the job
Install, program, and test low voltage components
Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris.
Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or AVC
Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures.
Tests operation of system
Keep work areas clean and presentable at all times.
* Must present a professional manner at all times.

Other duties as assigned

Required

A high school diploma or G.E.D.
One year of electrical and electronic equipment experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude is a must
Ability to operate hand and power tools.
Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times.
Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service.
Must have physical and muscular dexterity to install radios and related components in vehicles and buildings
Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to work indoors and outside in varying climate throughout the year.
Must be able to work in standing condition, lean on floor, stand up and down repeatedly, without accommodation
Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
