VFW did not kill the Major Richard Star Act by opposing TCAVA.

TCAVA supporters weakened the clean bill’s best opportunity by abandoning the discharge-petition fight while it remains one signature short. Instead of keeping unified pressure on Congress for signature 218, they promote a restricted substitute and tell veterans it is the only path.

TCAVA supporters released pressure on the remaining Republican holdouts and gave leadership political cover.

We are still one signature away. Jumping ship matters.

VFW opposed a flawed substitute. TCAVA supporters weakened the pressure campaign for the clean bill.

County Zoning Commission THIS WEDNESDAY 0900 @ Clark County Govt Complex

According to Sheila Lambert with Patriot Housing LV, the Clark County Zoning Commission will have the final say on September 2 to rezone 15 of 31 acres of public facility land to a residential multifamily zone that would allow for the veteran's housing proposal to become reality. 🔗

𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝟐𝟕𝐓𝐇, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, an unaccompanied veteran burial service will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery (SNVMC). Currently, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝟏 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲, 𝟎 𝐀𝐢𝐫 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞, 𝟏 𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐲, 𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟎 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬. If you are available, please attend. The unclaimed veteran services are held almost every Thursday at 8:40 am at the SNVMC, 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. Bobi Oates, Women Veterans of Nevada, Len Blake, Southern Nevada Patriot Guard Riders, and Neil Johnson, Vietnam Veterans of America, do an amazing job for our fallen, unclaimed veterans.
