There is a lot that happens around the world we cannot control. We cannot stop earthquakes, we cannot prevent droughts, and we cannot prevent all conflict, but WE CAN do something about hunger and homelessness.

We can do better!

We have been out in Dolan Springs Arizona looking at the 40 acres that has been donated to house homeless veterans. The property is about an hour and 15 minutes outside of Vegas just across the Arizona border.

Construction should begin in about 2 months for some housing on the property. We will be next to the property.

Thankyou for your generous donation.

The Supreme Court has already ruled you cannot arrest somebody for not obeying a law they have no ability to obey.

This has been litigated. The represented all the way to the Supreme Court. These anti-homeless laws that are proliferating are illegal.

People just dont have the money to fight it all the way the Supreme Court, where they would win. Since it's been decided they wouldn't even hear it. They would stay the lower court ruling.

55,000 PAIRS OF SOCKS FOR THE HOMELESS! THANK YOU, ! Today SpreadPeace.org received what has become an annual gift of socks. This year we received a whopping 55,000 pairs. Thought you might like see just some of what goes into getting these out to the shelter throughout our community.

SpreadPeace.org () will be distributing them to shelters throughout the community. Today we gave 10,000+ to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, who we want to thank for helping unload the truck, load vans from other nonprofits SpreadPeace.org invited to come and pick up socks to distribute to the Homeless population they serve.

We also want to thank CHIP's. They have been a great friend and partner as together we have distributed backpacks, food, umbrellas, and more to the homeless over the past couple of years. These socks will be going to shelters all over Las Vegas.

Your donations to SpreadPeace.org (link in bio) make a real difference in our community. We are 100% volunteer-driven. We have no employees and no rent. 100% of your donations go to acquiring and distributing life-sustaining supplies to the homeless.

Chase Hansen was 4 years old when he first wanted to help the homeless. “Chase looked at me and said, ‘Dad, who are these people? Why don’t they have a place to stay?’” recalled John Hansen, 44.
“After I explained that they had run into hard times and were homeless, I knew that we were looking at an educational opportunity. My son wanted to help them.” Later, he and his dad, John Hansen, persuaded a local Jamba Juice to donate more than 100 smoothies to the homeless in Salt Lake City Park.

These days, the two of them have been spending time with the homeless at Salt Lake City, UT, taking them out for cheeseburgers & fries, soup and sandwiches, or tacos once or twice a week.

Chase takes time to know these people better when they meet up for lunch, and it turns out that they want to make a connection just like everyone else.

After more than 150 lunches, Chase and his father John are now running a self-funded charity project to inspire others in creating a friendship with the homeless.

With the coronavirus-induced shock to the economy crippling businesses of all sizes and leaving millions of Americans out of work, homelessness in the United States could grow as much as 45% in a year, according to a new analysis conducted by a Columbia University professor.

That would mean an additional 250,000 or so people would be without permanent shelter compared with the 568,000 who were homeless in January 2019, according to government.

Today Governor Gavin Newsom announced the state of California has helped house over 14,000+ individuals experiencing homelessness through the Project Roomkey initiative. The budget Newsom signed Monday allocates $550 million to help local governments buy the hotels and motels, and turn them into more permanent housing for the homeless.

While this initiative has helped thousands of individuals there is still room for growth to improve programs and create opportunities to help those in need.

Help the Homeless

4,000 people will die, homeless on the streets of America this year. Many of our volunteers have a homeless friend that has died on the streets. According to the National Institute of Health, the challenges of poverty such as a lack of access to health care, proper nutrition, and social support are responsible for another 874,000 deaths.

This is unacceptable! SpreadPeace.org (501c3 nonprofit) is dedicated to providing instruction and support to anyone wanting to help the homeless.
