North Kingstown Fire Department Welcome to your North Kingstown Fire Department The Town Council appointed the Fire Commissioners. Station #2 is located at 1865 Boston Neck Road.

Department History

The North Kingstown Fire Department was organized in 1917 with a Board of Fire Commissioners, a Fire Chief, Deputy Chiefs, Captains, Lieutenants, and Privates. The Fire Chief, as well as the remainder of the on-call firefighters, were appointed by the Fire Commissioners. The Department began to move towards a full-time paid organization shortly after the Great 1938 Hurricane, a

nd increased its number of paid members during World War II. Fire Stations

Station #1 (Headquarters) is located at 8150 Post Road. Station #3 is located at 6445 Post Road. Station #5 is located at 171 Indian Corner Road

❗ Governor Dan McKee has declared a state of emergency.

All commercial vehicles are banned from Rhode Island roads as of 5:00 p.m. today. 🚫 🚛

All vehicles except emergency vehicles are banned as of 7:00 p.m. 🚫 🚗

Both the commercial and vehicle travel bans are in effect until further notice.

These restrictions have been coordinated with our neighboring states.

Please stay safe, stay off the roads.
