HEAT ALERT: Wednesday through Friday
The National Weather Service has issued a heat alert for our area, with dangerously hot temperatures expected through Friday.
Extreme heat can become dangerous quickly, especially for older adults, young children, people with chronic medical conditions, outdoor workers, and pets.
STAY HYDRATED
Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Avoid alcohol and caffeinated drinks.
STAY COOL
Spend time in air conditioning or in the shade.
Limit time outdoors during the hottest part of the day.
WEAR LIGHT WEIGHT CLOTHING
Light-colored, loose-fitting clothing helps keep your body cool.
CHECK ON OTHERS
Check on family, friends, neighbors, and pets. Especially the elderly, young children, and those with health conditions.
DON'T FORGET PETS
Make sure pets have plenty of water and shade. Never leave them in a vehicle.
As always, North Hampton Fire & Rescue is ready to respond for any heat related emergency!
