COYOTE AWARENESS REMINDER THROUGHOUT TOWN
We have recently received reports of two separate coyote incidents involving dogs in the area of Tamboer Drive. Thankfully, both dogs are safe.
Coyotes are a natural part of our environment and can be found throughout the area. While sightings are not uncommon, it's important to take precautions to keep your pets safe.
Tips to Protect Your Pets:
• Keep dogs on a leash when walking.
• Avoid allowing pets to roam unattended, especially at dawn and dusk.
• Keep cats indoors whenever possible.
• Remove outdoor food sources such as pet food, bird seed, and unsecured garbage.
• If you encounter a coyote, make yourself appear large, be loud, and slowly back away while maintaining eye contact.
Coyotes can be found in any neighborhood, so awareness and prevention are key. By taking a few simple precautions, you can help keep your pets safe while coexisting with local wildlife.

Severe humid weather is predicted for the next several days. The North Haledon Office of Emergency Management, Mayor Randy George and Council will be opening a Cooling Center. It will be located at 129 Overlook Avenue at the North Haledon Public Library. The Cooling Center will be open for the hours below. Transportation will not be provided.
