North Greece Professional Firefighters Local 3827 The organization that represents the men and women of the North Greece Professional Firefighters. We utilize three stations to protect our District.

We are the Career Professional Firefighters who proudly serve and protect the residents and visitors of the North Greece Fire District. Organized in 1998 we were chartered as Local 3827 of the International Association of Firefighters. Our District is approximately 21 square miles consisting of primarily residential areas with some commercial occupancies. The Professional Firefighters staff the fi

rst due Engine 273 out of Station 1 ( North Greece Rd and Latta Rd) and first due Engine 274 out of Headquarters (Mt Read and Latta Rd). We also staff Truck 270 out of Station 3 (English Rd), which guarantees an IMMEDIATE response to the approximately 4,000 calls annually. Current Leadership:

It’s definitely that time of year everyone! BACK TO SCHOOL! As of today, all the youngsters have returned to area schools.

Please exercise rational thinking and extra caution around schools and buses, not just today, but all the time! Also remember that throughout Monroe County, buses have been equipped with license plate cameras for those that believe they’re more important than kids getting off a school bus. Run the lights, your gift is in the mail!

Today was the day…after several years of planning, designing, and the physical construction, move in day arrived for the new Station 3 located at 1816 English Road.

This station is now the home of Truck 270 and Battalion Chief 2C-37. Group 3 is first to call it home.

We wish to express our sincere gratitude to Dell's Market & Deli (Bill Dell) for dropping off some custom donuts this morning to welcome his new neighbors.

Our members look forward to getting settled in the new building and operating out of our new state of the art facility.

Group 3 companies operating on scene of a vehicle vs house on Sunset Ridge Trail. 2C37 reporting a vehicle completely though the house suspended out the rear with 1 person trapped. Companies working on stabilization and extrication. Greece Uniformed Fire Officers. Engine 273, Engine 274, Truck 270, 2C37 and Ridge Road Professional Firefighters - Local 3794 250 and 258 on the assignment.

We observe this Labor Day and celebrate each and every single one of our members!

Our 41 current firefighters work tirelessly each and every day to ensure our community is safe. Labor Day was organized to recognize the labor force and this Union exists to support and protect our personnel. Over many years of hard fought efforts, our Union and North Greece Fire District have developed a strong partnership to work jointly to ensure a quality workplace and to make our job about as safe as it can be. This did not happen overnight and both parties have made concessions over the years, however at the end of the day, it always comes back to what is best for the community we serve first and foremost.

Group 1 Truck 270 filling in for the second time this evening to the Ridge Road Professional Firefighters - Local 3794 district. Ridge Road companies operated earlier at a sewer odor issue in Eastman Business Park with multiple patients. Companies now operating on Lexington Ave. for a small lithium ion battery fire.

This morning, Local 3827 welcomed our retirees for what has become an annual tradition for our “Retiree Breakfast”.

This year’s event saw our first retiree, all the way to our most recent and so many in between. Generations of firefighters and hundreds of years worth of experience in one room sharing stories and experiences that covered decades.

These events bring together members old and new and allow for those that gave a career worth of their lives to reconnect with their brothers and sisters. Often times, when a member retires, the feeling of separation can be a heavy cross to bear after 20 or more years of service, however these opportunities allow a chance to get brought back into the mix for a morning, share in some laughs, and reminisce in how things used to be, but also see where things have come along to.

Thank you to our members that organized this event and thank you to all that came out this morning for a great and successful gathering. It was so wonderful to see you all.
