Please join us in celebrating the retirement of two of our faithful volunteers, Susie Reschke and Kathryn Petrie. Susie has been a big part of our READ DOG summer activities at Spillman Public Library for about 15 years (45 years of overall volunteering in her life!), and Kathryn joined us as a library volunteer in July 2009 until early 2026. If you see either one of these special ladies, please thank them for everything they have done for the Spillman Public Library community!

Shout out to Fondy Famous for helping us get the word out about library activities this summer at North Fond du Lac's Spillman Public Library!

Spillman Library's 2026 Summer Reading Program, Unearth a Story! is HERE and the community support behind it is incredible.

From June 1 through July 24, kids, teens, and adults can dig into storytimes, crafts, Read Dogs visits, performers, and a Dino Pool Party.

Stop in at Spillman Public Library to register and pick up a Reading Record to start tracking your summer. Grab a Passport Adventure Map too for a chance to win as you make your way around town.

Pterosaur spinner craft and a few READ DOG photos from this week's activities. We will have two weeks to catch up, so take this opportunity to get involved if you haven't yet signed up for our 2026 "Unearth a Story" Summer Reading Program! Green screen dates: Tuesday, June 23; Friday, June 26; Wednesday, July 1. We look forward to more fun ahead with cool dinosaur crafts and storytimes,& Cattail Critters on July 14th at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.!

We had a fun second week of summer programs, and we got them in before a storm on Wednesday brought us "dinos in the dark," when the power went out for the remainder of the day! Summer is in full swing! Please join us at the Spillman Library, and it's not too late to sign up to participate! Call the library with any questions at 929-3771. Spillman Library's first craft: Paint on Canvas T-Rex! It was such a fun way to start the summer craft activities! Children (and teens and adults), there's still time to sign up to participate in all we have going on this summer. Stop in to start your journey today!

Craft activity for Wednesday, June 10th. From 1-3 p.m. that day, Ms. Hanna will provide instruction. Craft kits can also be taken home to do independently. Don't forget we will also have READ DOG teams here for children to sign up to read for a time slot!
