What an incredible weekend.

Sunjaya didn’t just medal—she medaled in all four events she qualified for, which is exceptionally difficult at a state meet where the competition is at its highest level.

State Meet Results

Long Jump — 4th Place
100m Dash — 3rd Place (School Record: 12.01)
200m Dash — 4th Place (School Record: 24.90)
400m Dash — 6th Place (School Record: 58.16)

That’s the kind of state meet athletes remember for the rest of their lives. Four events. Four medals. Three school records. Outstanding achievement.

🧡 Sunjaya keeps it going with two more school records! 🧡

She placed 3rd in the 100-meter dash with a blazing time of 12.01 and 6th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.16.

That brings her total to three state medals coming home—but she’s not done yet! 🧡🏅🏅🏅

Sunjaya still has one more event to compete in: the 200-meter dash.

State Track & Field Update – Day 1

Sunjaya had an outstanding first day at the State Track & Field Championships, advancing to the finals in the 100m, 400m, and Long Jump!

She was competing in the Long Jump finals when the facility was evacuated due to lightning in the area, forcing the event to be postponed.

Competition resumes today, with Sunjaya returning at 9:00 a.m. to complete her final Long Jump attempt. Running events begin at 10:00 a.m., and the 200m will be run as a final-only event with no preliminary round.

Reminder‼️ Summer Strength & Speed starts on Monday June 8th‼️The sessions are for what grade the students are going into. Athletes should bring athletic shoes, cleats (we will be outside most of the summer due to gym remodel), and water bottle.

Our #9 seed NFDL-Oakfield Fighting O’s visited the undefeated #1 seed Kiel Raiders on Tuesday night. Drew Stettbacher toed the rubber for the O’s after golfing all morning at the sectional golf meet. The O’s struck first in the top of the 6th inning when Carson Fisher walked, followed by a single from Austin Supple. With two outs, Stettbacher was intentionally walked to load the bases for Eli Zar. Zar came up with a big hit, scoring Fisher and Supple with Stettbacher moving to third. The O’s weren’t done yet as Henry Drazkowski lined a single to center field for his 2nd hit of the game, scoring Stettbacher. That proved to be all Stettbacher needed as he went 6.2 innings, giving up 5 hits, 1 unearned run, and striking out 10 in the win. James Kautzer came on for the last out to earn the save. The O’s advance to the Regional Final on Wednesday in Waupaca. Great team win! Congratulations O’s!

*Milestone Alert*

With Drew Stettbacher’s 10 k’s in the game, he passed 100 strikeouts on the season. An accomplishment not done since Bob Beasley did it in 1988. Congratulations Drew!

🚨 🚨 D2 Sectional Meet Recap 🚨🎟️

🏃‍♀️ Sunjaya Greenlee absolutely dominated at the D2 Sectional Meet in McFarland, punching her ticket 🎟️ to State in ALL 4 Events and breaking 3 school records along the way! 🎉🔥

✨ Long Jump
✨ 100m Dash
Sunjaya broke her own school record in the prelims with a time of 12.34 and then shattered it again in the finals with an incredible 12.19!

✨ 200m Dash She clocked an amazing 25.19,breaking the school record set back in 2011 by Yolanda Hayes-Barnes (25.54).

✨ 400m Dash
Sunjaya ran a blazing 58.81, coming within a hair of breaking the school record set in 1986 by Amy Stella (58.😎. *possibly tie it or breaking it- we’re looking into this.

Amazing work, Sunjaya!!👏👏 We are so proud of your hard work and dedication. Best of luck at State next week on Friday, June 5th, and Saturday, June 6that UW-LaCrosse! 🏅💪

WIAA baseball playoffs started last night as our #9 seeded Fighting O’s traveled to Kohler for a battle with the #8 seeded Bombers. The O’s got started right away when Senior Carson Fisher singled and reached third on an error by the Kohler right fielder. Sophomore Austin Supple grounded in a fielders choice to score Fisher the next at-bat. The score was 1-0 until the top of 6 when Senior James Kautzer drew a walk and Junior Drew Stettbacher singled. Sophomore Eli Zar’s sacrifice bunt moved the runners to second and third. Junior Henry Drazkowski’s sacrifice fly brought Kautzer home to make it 2-0. Freshman Caleb Fisher singled in Stettbacher with two outs to extended the lead to 3-0. That’s all the run support the O’s pitchers would need behind Stettbacher’s 6 innings pitched, giving up one hit and striking out 15 Kohler batters. Kautzer came on in the 7th, earning the save. Caleb Fisher was 3 for 3 with a double and RBI to lead the O’s.

With last nights 15 k performance by Drew Stettbacher, he passed Mark Seffern (NFDL Class of 2001) and Paul French (NFDL Class of 1985) as the all-time career strikeout leader in NFDL history with 225 and counting. Congratulations Drew on this historic accomplishment!!
