Join local historian Ed Hands and AFL’s Lorraine Rubinacci for an afternoon stroll around Queset Garden and the library grounds.

Hear historical anecdotes about the library, the Ames family, and our campus from Ed Hands while you look for an early show of summer, facilitated by Lorraine Rubinacci. With luck, you’ll see what’s coming into bloom around our campus, and maybe see signs of some of the animals that make their home on and around the grounds.

The walk will begin promptly at 2:00 PM at the stairs into Queset Garden.

OA's Senior Prom is THURSDAY, JUNE 4th, so please keep this in mind!

Prom season is upon us again, and local students will be coming to enjoy Queset Garden as the backdrop for their photos!

We welcome all photos in our historic and beautiful gardens, but understand that larger crowds can make visiting the library difficult for many of our patrons. We have been in communication with our local schools and hope we can all partner to make the season safe and memorable for everyone.

If you hope to visit the library on a prom night, you can expect:
📸 a full parking lot between the hours of approximately 3:30 PM and 6:00 PM
📸 potential traffic backup from Main Street
📸 increased foot traffic in the parking lot and surrounding areas

Kids & families are invited to join us in Queset Garden for a kids concert at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 6.

Mara and Motoko are sure to delight young audiences with beloved children's music, original songs and popular picture books brought to life with music. Each musician brings an abundance of experience and together this duo will inspire, engage and entertain children and families. Our kid-friendly performances include movement, imaginative play and stories that keep kids engaged and entertained from start to end.

Funding for this program was provided by Morgan & Maeve Bieber’s grandparents, Meme & Opa.
