Dougan Road is scheduled to have Driving Surface Aggregate (DSA) placed from September 4th until possibly the 10th, or later depending on the weather. This is the final part of the process in the grant awarded by Erie County Conservation, Dirt & Gravel Roads Program. The three year process involved pipe replacement, placement of tile, building up the road with 2RC and now the placement of DSA. For the three year process, the Township will receive more than $ 528,000.00. The Township has been receiving grants for road material since 2007. With the completion of this project, the total funds received over the years from the Erie County Conservation Dirt & Gravel Roads Program is more than $ 1,400,000.00.
The location of the projects is determined by Erie County Conservation.
The project site is Dougan Road, north of Station to Prindle Road.

Prindle Road Surfacing

Lindy Paving offered the Township one load of MC70 (oil), which had to be moved off of the property they were selling before the end of the month. The Township was required to pay for the truck application of the oil at the total cost of $ 1,312.50 and the cost of stones. From the traffic count performed in the fall of 2023, the section of road with the highest volume was Prindle Road from the Harborcreek Township line east to Dougan Road. The Board approved the proposal and project at the July 23rd meeting. The road is being prepared by adding 2 -3 inches of ground millings and installing drainage tile. The week of July 29th, the oil will be spread and then chips will be added.
