🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — From One First Responder Family to Another, We Remember. 🇺🇸

Twenty-five years later, the memories of September 11th remain forever etched in our hearts.

Today, the North Collins Emergency Squad stands alongside first responders everywhere as we honor the 2,977 innocent lives lost and the countless families whose lives were changed forever.

But as first responders, we hold a special place in our hearts for the men and women who answered the call that morning.

Firefighters.
Police officers.
Paramedics.
EMTs.
Dispatchers.
And countless other first responders who ran toward unimaginable danger while knowing they might never make it home.

They didn’t hesitate. They simply did what they were called to do — serve, protect, help, and save.

From one emergency response family to those who made the ultimate sacrifice:

We see you. We honor you. We remember you. And we will never forget you.

To the first responders who continue to carry the memories, the loss, and the weight of that day — we stand with you.

May we never forget the courage displayed on September 11th, the lives that were lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families who continue to carry their absence.

From our squad to yours: thank you for your service, your courage, and your sacrifice.

We stand by all the family, friends, and coworkers of the 3 fallen firefighters. A loss of one is a loss to all in the Fire/EMS community.

Congratulations to Sabrina Seneca for successfully passing her NYS EMT exam yesterday! 🚑

New York State EMT certification courses are typically 150–180 hours for 16-20 weeks and include:

* Classroom instruction
* Hands-on skills labs
* Clinical and/or ambulance observation experiences (as required by the course)
* Written and practical examinations

Congratulations to Chauntel Bartosik who successfully completed over 150 hours of instruction and clinical hours, passed her state skills test and today officially passed her NYS EMT-B written exam! Officially an EMT!

Today marks five years since the North Collins Emergency Squad lost one of our own, Eric Weisdel.

Eric was more than a member of our squad—he was a friend, a mentor, and a dedicated servant to our community. His commitment to helping others and his willingness to answer the call whenever needed left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Though five years have passed, Eric’s memory remains a part of our organization. We remember his dedication, his friendship, and the difference he made in the lives of so many.

Today, we pause to honor and remember Eric. His service, sacrifice, and legacy will never be forgotten.

Please join us in keeping Eric’s family, friends, and fellow EMS members in your thoughts as we remember him today.

Many of you have passed on your thoughts and prayers for Eric’s journey to healing - we thank you! It is with a heavy heart that I share that today we lost one of our own - Eric lost his battle. 😢

Eric has given his life to Emergency Sevices - Fire, Dispatch, and EMS! Today we lost a great man. Please keep Eric’s family, our NCEMS members, North Collins Fire, his friends, and our own community in your thoughts as we deal with this tragic loss.
