At 10:55 hrs this morning we were dispatched along with our automatic mutual aid departments to a possible commercial fire at American Wire Tie. Upon arrival a report of smoke showing and working fire was declared from a storage room. Quick forcible entry was made and a knock on the fire contained it to the room of origin. On a holiday weekend North Collins Fire had 13 total responders with 8 being interior firefighters along with 3 fire police. Great work by all involved!

This afternoon we were dispatched mutual aid to Collins Center Fire Co. for a working structure fire. Engine #3 responded with a crew of 7 firefighters as well as 2 line officers in personal vehicles with a total of 8 being interior firefighters. We also held a standby crew of 2 Chiefs and 3 firefighters in our district in case of any other emergency. Hard work by all parties involved brought an unfortunate situation under control. If you have ever thought about volunteering with you local fire deptartment we are all always accepting applications! Please reach out to your local department, we can all use the help!

Yesterday, your NCFC stood by for Eden Fire Co at the Corn Festival Grounds while they ran thier 2 famous sweet corn and curly fries stands.
Little did we know, the mutual aide stand-by would entail shucking sweet corn 😂. When asked if we could help out as they were getting low we said, no problem, our crew rolled up their sleeves and got busy.
Thank you Eden Fire Department #1 for asking us to assist you. Our crew had a great time helping out.

🔥⚾ You’re killing me, Smalls! ⚾🔥

When our firefighters aren’t answering calls, they’re sometimes trading in their turnout gear for baseball gloves! Our crew has been having some fun this summer playing in a local softball league. 🚒⚾

We may not all be future Hall of Famers, but we sure know how to have a good time, support each other, and enjoy some friendly competition. 😉
