I can’t believe it’s already been one week since my Sailor graduated boot camp.

I still remember the day we took her to MEPS, watching her get on that bus, and then receiving that first phone call saying she arrived safely. We were told we might not hear from her for 2–3 weeks… but then she surprised us with a Christmas call — the best gift we could have ever received.

After that came five more precious phone calls, each one filling our hearts a little more. And then the call… the one I’ll never forget:

“I’m a Sailor, Mom.” ⚓💙

Graduation at RTC felt like it happened in the blink of an eye. One moment we were counting the days, and the next we were watching her stand tall, transformed.

Now she’s off to A-School outside of Naval Station Great Lakes, beginning the next chapter of her journey.

What an amazing experience this has been — one I will carry in my heart forever. So incredibly proud. Hooyah Navy! 🇺🇸⚓💙
