Brig. Gen. Olen Bridges, Adjutant General of the Arkansas National Guard , Navy Capt. Christopher Carmichael, former USMEPCOM Western Sector commander, and Army Lt. Col. Elizabeth Cantrell, St. Louis MEPS, 11th BN, US Military Entrance Processing Command commander, discuss the growing partnership between USMEPCOM and the National Guard at the National Guard Association of the United States General Conference and Exhibition on Aug. 29, 2026 in Indianapolis.

In our 11th Battalion alone, National Guard personnel are actively supporting operations in Kansas City, Little Rock, Oklahoma City and St. Louis. As we continue to grow this initiative, our goal is to extend it across USMEPCOM.

This week, Western Sector welcomed Marine Corps Col Aixa Dones and Army Command Sgt. Maj. Ivan Martinez during Change of Command and Change of Responsibility ceremonies.

Together they join a dedicated team committed to supporting our MEPS, strengthening partnerships and ensuring every applicant is processed with professionalism, precision and care.
