Whole Home Electric is a program offered by Com Ed that helps income eligible households save money and make your home more comfortable by replacing old or inefficient heating and cooling systems and appliances – whether they run on gas, propane, or electricity – with new, high-performance electric systems. Many upgrades are available at little or no cost to you.

Who Can Apply?
ComEd customers living in single-family homes must meet additional criteria, including but not limited to household income eligibility requirements.

The City of North Chicago Public Works Department is in the process of notifying residents that the State mandated ILLINOIS EPA lead water service line replacement project has begun.

HERE IS SOME INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

o The lead service line infrastructure project will replace approximately 175 water service lines primarily in the southern portion of the city limits, AT NO COST TO THE HOMEOWNER!

o The target area for this project is located east of Green Bay Road, south of Argonne Road and north of Broadway Avenue.

o For the specific homes targeted to have the lead service line replaced, a Public Works staff member will stop by the home to drop off a Lead Service Line information sheet and an Access Form that explains the program in detail.

o PLEASE ALLOW US TO LEAVE THIS INFORMATION WITH YOU SO THAT WE CAN SCHEDULE THE WORK TO BE COMPLETED.

In response to residents inquiring about volunteer opportunities in the community, State Senator Julie Morrison, 29th District, invites the community to a Volunteer Fair on Saturday, June 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North Suburban YMCA, 2705 Techny Road in Northbrook. Representatives from some 30 organizations will be at the Volunteer Fair to share information about what they do and discuss volunteer opportunities.
