NORTH CHARLESTON FIRE DEPARTMENT IS NOW HIRING!

The North Charleston Fire Department is seeking experienced and motivated firefighters to join our team through our Lateral Hiring Process for the position of Fire Equipment Operator (Engineer).

Testing Dates: June 22–26, 2026

Salary Range: $64,981 – $80,580

Minimum Requirements:
Firefighter II
National Registry EMT (NREMT)
Pump Operator
Aerial Operations
Fire Officer I
1 Year Operator Experience
