Thank you to the wonderful neighbors who have been adding books to our community Little Free Library! Your contribution has been much appreciated! Soon, I will be cutting the lawn around it to help make the landscaping friendlier again! We cherish you all!

Esta Biblia fue encontrada cerca de la Pequeña Biblioteca Gratuita, pero parece que pertenece a alguien y podría haberse caído de una bolsa por accidente. Por favor, avísame si es tuya o si sabes a quién pertenece. Traté de limpiar el exterior de la cubierta lo mejor que pude, ¡así que está lista para regresar a su hogar! 💜

This Bible was found near the Little Free Library, but it looks as though it belongs to someone and might have fallen out of a bag by accident. Please let me know if this is yours or if you know who it belongs to. I tried to clean up the outside of the cover as best as I could, so it's ready to go back to it's home! 😊

In progress: I'm looking for a similar list with the versions of the numbers with access to Spanish communication. If you know of such a list that already exists, please let me know!

Hello, neighbors! This probably seems like a trivial need in comparison to so many other needs in the communities lately, but our neighborhood Little Free Bilingual Library is in need of wholesome books for all ages, kids-teens-adults--in either/both Spanish and English.

The amazing news is that it has been serving its pupose with help from the community and was even able to bring over 150 books directly to the children in the Ferndale neighborhood in both languages over just the past few weeks. ☺️

But this has put a small [but totally worth it!] strain (for lack of a better word) on the backstock for keeping the little library itself replenished.

If you have books for any/all ages in English/Spanish/other languages that are in good condition that you don't need, please consider adding them to our neighborhood little free library; previous donations have already been such a blessing to so many!

Thank you to past, present, and future contributors, visitors, and readers! May the Lord bless and keep you all! 💜

¡Hola, vecinos! Probablemente esto parezca una necesidad trivial en comparación con tantas otras necesidades en las comunidades últimamente, pero nuestra pequeña biblioteca bilingüe gratuita del vecindario necesita libros útiles para todas las edades, niños, adolescentes y adultos, en español e inglés.

La increíble noticia es que ha estado cumpliendo su propósito con la ayuda de la comunidad e incluso pudo llevar más de 150 libros directamente a los niños del vecindario de Ferndale en ambos idiomas en tan solo las últimas semanas. ☺️

Pero esto ha supuesto una pequeña [¡pero totalmente valiosa!] tensión (a falta de una palabra mejor) en el stock de reserva para mantener la pequeña biblioteca reabastecida.

Si tiene libros para cualquier edad en inglés, español u otros idiomas que estén en buenas condiciones y que no necesite, considere agregarlos a nuestra pequeña biblioteca gratuita del vecindario; ¡las donaciones anteriores ya han sido una bendición para muchos!

It's been quiet at our little library for a couple of days--and this morning when I walked over, I saw why.

A little spider made a tiny web and was trying to read the book titles, too!

El libro más prestado de nuestra biblioteca es la Biblia, pero ¿en qué idioma? ¡En español!

Como administradora de esta biblioteca, es importante para mí tener siempre una Biblia en inglés y otra en español dentro de la biblioteca en todo momento (siempre que sea posible).

¿Por qué? Porque es una historia llena de esperanza (el personaje principal es el Creador, que ama a la humanidad hasta el punto de un gran sacrificio) y es la historia de amor más grande que jamás se haya contado. Vivimos en un mundo que necesita esperanza más que nunca. Y este libro, sin duda, ha cambiado mi vida para mejor.

Además, el nombre de nuestra Pequeña Biblioteca Bilingüe Gratuita proviene de 1 Pedro 5:7: “Pongan todas sus preocupaciones y ansiedades en las manos de Dios, porque él cuida de ustedes”. Era el versículo favorito de mi madre. 💜

Dicho esto, ¡muchas gracias al generoso benefactor que vio una necesidad y se ofreció para ser una bendición para nuestra comunidad!

Si necesita una Biblia, pero no puede encontrar una en la pequeña biblioteca gratuita cuando pasa por aquí, ¡no dude en enviarnos un mensaje!

The #1 most borrowed book from our library is the Bible, but in which language? Spanish!

As this library's steward, it's important to me to always keep an English and a Spanish Bible inside of the library at all times (whenever possible).

Why? Because it's a story filled with hope--the main character being the Creator, who loves humanity to the point of great sacrifice--and it's the greatest love story that has ever been told. We live in a world that needs hope more than ever. And this Book has undoubtedly changed my life for the better.

Also, our Little Free Bilingual Library's name comes from 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your cares on Him for He cares for you". It was my mother's favorite verse. 💜

With that being said, thank you very much to the generous benefactor who saw a need and stepped in to be a blessing to our community!
