Charleston DSA is thrilled to announce our endorsement of Francis Beylotte for Charleston County School Board District 7.

For more than a decade, Francis has been an outspoken advocate for public schools and mental health support for students. He believes in fiscal responsibility, transparency, and ensuring every dollar is tied back to students.

Tomorrow, Charleston DSA is helping prevent heat injury for Charleston's unhoused population in West Ashley! We are building connections with the unhoused community to try to increase solidarity and better understand their needs. We will be handing out water bottles, electrolytes, hygiene products, and snacks.

What should YOU bring? -Comfortable shoes and clothing, hat, sunscreen (it will be hot!) -Backpacks, collapsible wagons, disposable/rolling coolers with ice, or other carriers to transport goods

We will be meeting tomorrow, August 16 at 9am at Roper St Francis Hospital.

A better world is possible! Sustainable mutual aid for members of our community starts with us. We hope this gets members engaged and accustomed to "boots on the ground" activities.
