I am thrilled to announce that I am officially Councilman Brandon Hudson.

I will never be able to put into words the appreciation I have for those of you who put me in this position. Without the support and encouragement of my friends, family, and neighbors this never would have been possible.

I was honored to get to know Andre, Greg, Kay, and Will. Running for public office is hard, and having the courage and vision to want to represent is admirable. Our visions may have been different, but I know we will all continue to work together over the next 4 years.

I look forward to serving District 8 and our City.

Tuesday will be the day North Charleston decides who will represent us.

I've run on kindness, service, unity, and transparency. My goals are to create clean and safe neighborhoods, improve traffic, and support public transit. I will work to modernize our City's zoning to reflect the needs of our growing region.

One of the highlights of my campaign has been being endorsed by the Post and Courier as the "the most informed and thoughtful candidate" in the ENTIRE race. I've been honored with the endorsements of both retiring Councilman Bob King and our County Councilman Rob Wehrman, making me the only candidate with the support of our local representatives.

I've been involved here through my work as President of my neighborhood association and volunteering with our community gardens for almost 7 years. Seeing how being an engaged citizen can create positive change is what inspired this campaign. I love our home. I have the vision, many years of HOA board experience, and consistent City involvement that make me the right fit for this seat.

Over the last 2 months I've spent hundreds of hours and every single day knocking doors and doing events in my campaign. Connecting with my neighbors and realizing that we have a shared vision for North Charleston.

I'm a front runner, endorsed by our City and County Councilmen. A top contender in a highly contested seat in one of the fastest growing cities in South Carolina.

I’m also 100% community funded and running a grassroots campaign for my neighbors in North Charleston. You can be sure that a vote for me is a not a vote for outside interest groups and that I will represent YOU on City Council when I am elected.

Knocking on doors I've had a lot of folks who are surprised to hear they are in a new district this year.

Keep an eye out for a new voter registration card, or check your status online at scvotes.org.

North Charleston city council approved a new district map this spring based off the 2020 census. The Nov. 7 election is the first with the new map.
