7:30 AM WINTER STORM UPDATE

The Blizzard of 2026 continues to unleash its fury this morning with very heavy snow bands, with rates of 1-3 inches per hour. These bands should linger into the morning and likely won't start to ease up until closer to late morning. Because of these very heavy bands, we likely will see snowfall totals between 18 and 24 inches.

Please do NOT throw snow into the street when clearing your property. The Township code prohibits casting snow onto Township roadways.

If you live near a fire hydrant, please help the Fire Department and your neighbors, by shoveling around the hydrant. This could be a life saving measure!

Also, all municipal offices will be closed today, Monday, February 23.

For the duration of this storm, parking on your front lawn is acceptable.

Available parking locations when four inches of snow is predicted are:

An Arctic front will bring periods of light snow tonight through Saturday morning, with accumulations around an inch. Please use caution while driving.

The bigger story will be the dangerous bitter cold and strong winds Saturday into Sunday morning. An Extreme Cold Warning is in effect for wind chills as low as 15 below zero. This could result in hypothermia or frostbite if precautions are not taken.
