Feels like summer! The NWS has issued a heat advisory for Tuesday and Wednesday across much of MA.

Plan now, stay cool later! With temperatures on the rise this week, keep these safety tips in mind to prevent any heat related illnesses. Try to stay indoors, check on your neighbors, hydrate, and wear appropriate clothing.

The members of NBEMA send our deepest condolences to the Massachusetts State Police, following the loss of Trooper Trainor. Many of our members have a law enforcement background so this hits close to home. We send our thoughts to his family, both blood and badge.

The bridge on Mad Brook Road is closed to all traffic until further notice due to an upcoming replacement project. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has determined that the structure is no longer safe for travel. Please plan alternate routes accordingly.

We are aware of a large power outage affecting much of town, along with West Brookfield. National Grid is estimating a restoration time of 11:45am. Please be patient as they work to restore power. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update when we have information.

The State Fire Marshal's office and local authorities are investigating two suspicious fires in the Pleasant Street area of the Town of Ware. We are encouraging town residents to remain vigilant and keep an eye on one another so everyone stays safe.
If you have any information, captured anything suspicious on your home security cameras, heard anything from neighbors or locals that you'd like to report call the 1-800 number or call the Ware police or Ware Fire departments. All calls are strictly confidential.

Local, real life proof that shoveling hydrants makes a difference. Yes, the house was lost but lives were saved.

The Blizzard of 26 is in the rearview mirror. We have more snow coming at some point because this is New England. Please adopt the hydrant closest to your house. The FD needs enough access to wrap a hose around the hydrant as part of their response to a fire. Please help them help you!!!!
