At 01:18 Company 1 was was dispatched for the reported explosion and structure fire at 108 Beech St.

Engine 1 arrived and reported a fully involved single story home. Downed power lines were blocking access to the property from Beech St forcing units to come in from the opposite side. E1 placed two 2 1/2" attack lines and one 1 3/4" line in service.

This address is located in a unhydranted area of the district.

Tankers were requested from Madison and Guilford.

Station coverage was requested from East Haven

The scene was placed under control at 01:57. Truck 1 was set up for water tower operations to knock any remaining hot spots.

The scene was turned over to the Fire Marshall's office and is currently under investigation. There were no injuries reported.

Units cleared the scene at 04:09

The membership of Company 1 wants to say a big thank you to the community and our visitors.

As we conclude our annual fund drive we want to let the community know that we had a record breaking year in the street. The community has always been very gracious and supportive. Our mail campaign still continues into October and November.

What many residents don't know is that we own our firehouse at 1531 Foxon Rd. These donations will go directly toward the maintenance and updates to our building and property.

We have some big projects coming up, mainly trying to fix the facade on our building, which is beginning to fail.

Dear Resident/Business Owner of the North Branford Community,

The North Branford Fire Department Company One is a volunteer emergency
service provider comprised of men and women who live and work within North Branford. Fifty highly trained and dedicated firefighters and emergency medical personnel volunteer their time and respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year to any emergency. The men and women of Company One train for, and respond to, hundreds of fires and medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, technical rescues, and calls for service annually. We spend countless hours training, gaining certifications, learning the best operational techniques all to better serve the residents, businesses, and visitors of North Branford.

We are asking for your support this year with our ANNUAL FUND DRIVE. The
financial assistance from the Town of North Branford only covers a small portion of our overall expenses. What many community members do not realize is that the North Branford Fire Department Company One owns our firehouse on Foxon Road. Our building is not maintained by the town and comes with many operational and maintenance expenses. Your donation will go directly towards the upkeep and planned renovations of Company One. This includes painting, updates to our bathroom facilities, and updating our façade. We truly appreciate any donation, no matter how small.

We appreciate your continued support in our efforts to provide professional, dedicated emergency services to our community. Members trained tonight on nursing and drafting operations with Engine 1 and Engine 11

Nearly half of the residential addresses in Company 1s first due are non hydranted locations.

At these addresses, North Branford Fire Department utilizes its fleet of 3 tankers and mutual aid assistance to bring water into the scene.

Thank you to North Branford Fire Department Company 3 for bringing down Tanker 3 to participate in this drill.

87 years ago June 23rd 1938 the charter members founded the organization and the town set aside 6,000 dollars for the purchase of the 38' Diamond T that we still own today.
