One Book One Coast is a collective of 150 libraries in Washington, Oregon, and California to form the world's largest book club. Our selection for this year, They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, illustrates his extraordinary, courageous story of being forcibly incarcerated with his family as a young child due to Executive Order 9066. He shows the reader what he saw, and how he continued to process this historic event as an actor, activist and public speaker in the decades that followed.

Join a livestream of an author talk with George Takei at Vancouver Community Library on Sunday, May 31, from 2 - 4 pm or register to join online from home at https://library-lacounty-gov.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_Ek6Fa2kxSjq1vs_BvlyHRg #/registration

More library. More often.

Exciting news: Fort Vancouver Regional Libraries will roll out expanded hours beginning June 1! This expansion is part of a Levy Lid Lift commitment to increase access and reflects community feedback, including results from the districtโ€™s engagement survey.

Each county will have a library open on Sundays, and nearly all branches will offer additional hours. Visit our website to find your library's new hours: https://www.fvrl.org/new-hours/
