This event centers the lived experiences of youth in foster care and highlights the importance of trauma-informed care. You’ll have the opportunity to:

- Hear directly from teens and young adults about their experiences

- Learn from a resource parent who fosters teens

- Understand next steps for foster care licensing from ODHS staff

- Explore volunteer opportunities with P48

Our goal is to inspire and equip you with clear, actionable steps, whether that is fostering, providing respite care, volunteering, or donating.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a lasting impact. We hope to see you there! 🩵

UPDATE: this need is closed.
A 10-year-old bot brought into care in struggling to feel comfortable. He wishes for a loft bed like he used to have to help ease this change.
We are seeking help from the community in hopes to fulfill this hope for him. If you are wanting to help fulfill this need, please scan the QR code to pledge to it. Or you can use this link: https://thecontingent.microsoftcrmportals.com/eco/myneighbor/coos/

A child's time is care can be so uncertain and strange. I have hope the community can help this kiddo feel more comfortable in his new surroundings.

Brothers and sisters are often each other’s strongest source of comfort, identity, and belonging.

Fostering siblings together helps children heal with the people who know them best.

ODHS/Child Welfare provides training, financial support, respite, and a peer mentor program and connection events with others in the fostering community, so you’re not doing this alone.
Certified homes can be families, single caregivers, or relatives — all kinds of families help.
