Children were able to speak to First Responders in addition to employees from various business’s that included (The UPS and The Ohio Department of Transportation).

It was great way to interact with both adults and children and to represent their businesses and their local communities.

Today’s Fact :

Police Officers are not done with their training or learning after their successful completion of a state certified police academy.

Training is required for police officers with a mandated number of hours each year by the State of Ohio.

The North Baltimore Police Department Police Officers follow these guidelines and are training in various ways consistently.

You can be assured that your North Baltimore Police Department Police Officers have been busy!

It is not only a career that we enjoy but it is a community that we like to serve.

When Police Officers have the ability to learn something new, they are becoming more knowledgeable and more prepared.

This knowledge and consistent preparedness are used in the community by the Police Officers to ensure that their calls for services are handled both effectively and professionally.

The North Baltimore Police Department is developing a “Neighborhood Watch” Program that will help to make The Village Of North Baltimore a more safe of a community.

This program will involve learning systematic related plans to prevent crime, group discussion on various topics, guest speakers that play a role in the community and more things that will grab your attention.

Please share. Let’s start to build a Team that will work together and assist each other in making North Baltimore a safer place.

The North Baltimore Police Department will highlight persons that have Active Warrants out of the Village of North Baltimore.

Please be advised that each person that is mentioned is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.

All, (A reminder)

Please be aware that the North Baltimore Police Department is dispatched for their calls for service through the Wood County Sheriffs Office.

To contact an officer, please dial

911 for (Immediate assistance)
or
419 354 9001 (Option 9) (Non emergency)

Both are answered by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office who will either dispatch an officer or transfer a phone call to the on duty phone.

We understand that our police department number has been contacted numerous times but has not been answered in a timely manner.

This is not on purpose but it is used and monitored as an administrative phone which will be reviewed and responded to once it is able to be.

Criminal Identification 🫆

The Past: Anthropometry
The Present: Fingerprinting/DNA

Anthropometry was a previous way of identifying criminals by using the measurement of their body parts.

Overtime, this was found to lack in accuracy because our body parts having the ability to change.

Fingerprinting/ DNA:The current way of identifying criminals by using three types of patterns on our fingers toes and heals.

Many advancements have been made and have helped law enforcement identify missing children adults and criminals.
