During Harold G. Fearnโs 18-year tenure (1954-1972), West Aurora School District made many new additions and improvements, a lot of these are still around today. The following schools and buildings were built during his tenure: Hope D. Wall, Washington, Jefferson, Smith, Schneider, McCleery, Hall, Goodwin, and the football stadium at West High. The administration office for West Aurora School District was moved to Downtown Aurora, which allowed the rapidly growing school district to expand and make more improvements for the students and community. Also, many school and district buildings were renovated or expanded. Harold G. Fearn was very dedicated to West Aurora and even developed relationships with other community programs, like the Fox Valley Park District.
