Cadence Academy Preschool encourages KindChild Culture. For the month of June the focus is on supporting self-image. Our summer camp children read stories to our two year old children. The two year olds felt supported and encouraged by the older children when they showed excitement and interest in the books being read.

Today at Cadence Academy North Aurora our friends in Preschool 1 enjoyed painting with bubble wrap. The children used mixed media by creating art using recycled materials. The children also developed their senses to observe textured objects using a sense of touch.

This week we celebrated Read Across America. On Monday the children created a bookmark. Tuesday the children listened to a silly story. Pre 2 then used their creativity and fine motor skills by making a silly hat. Wednesday a special reader came in the classrooms to read a story. Ms. Jenni read some of infant 1 favorite books. Thursday the children listened to the book “If you Give A Mouse A Cookie”. The children got to take home a cookie for a special treat. Friday is PJ day.
