Mrs. Devoti’s 5th grade class learned more about the events of 9/11 while practicing finding text evidence, defining vocabulary, and using critical thinking skills. Students collaborated in groups during a hands on game filled with twists and turns, working their way up the game board and using their skills to try to be the first team to reach 100!

🇺🇸 Coordinates of Courage, Remembering 9/11 ❤️🤍💙

5th graders in Mrs. LG'S class worked with coordinates to plot points and recreate the Twin Towers and an NYC city scene in remembrance of September 11th.
Students carefully plotted ordered pairs, connected lines, and then used their creativity to bring their cityscapes to life. ✏️📐🏙️

What started as a coordinate plane activity became so much more. Students had a chance to learn, create, and remember the courage, strength, and unity that followed one of our nation’s most important moments in history.

❤️We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
