Marsha Finkelstein - Member, Massachusetts Democratic State Committee MA Democratic State Committee Member-Gender Balance Seat I'm a life-long Democrat, party activist and campaigner.

I'm running for re-election to a Gender Balance Seat on the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee on April 6, 2024. Most members know me from the years I lived in Salem where I served as chair of the Salem Democratic City Committee. I've worked on many local, state and national Democratic campaigns for more than 30 years and have the vision and passion to bring new ideas and energy to the state

party. I moved to North Andover in 2022 and was elected to the North Andover Housing Authority Board in 2023, serving a 5 year team and helping my community with affordable housing. Personal Background:

I am the youngest of 7 kids (4 brothers & 2 sisters) and grew up in a working class Democratic family. I've worked hard my whole life to live according to the values Democrats hold dear and do what I can to help mentor young people new to the party and to provide my expertise and advice to Democrats running for office in MA. Since late 2023, I have been advising District 5 Governor's Council candidate Eunice Zeigler's campaign in the Essex County/Merrimack Region. I served as Chair of the Salem Democratic Committee for nearly 5 years and worked tirelessly to grow the membership and provide the community with an opportunity to engage with elected officials, candidates to promote the values of the Democratic Party. I'm most passionate about registering and engaging new Democratic voters as well as helping support progressive Democratic candidates to run and win their elections. I sent this email on July 17. 2024 to members of the MassDems State Committee. About 40 or so of those emails bounced. I'm sharing this on FB so DSC members can see my communication and why I'm running to be appointed as a Democratic Elector for President/Vice President in 2024.

To Fellow Massachusetts DSC Members,

Good evening.

I wanted to reach out to you to say I'm running to be appointed as a 2024 Presidential/Vice Presidential Elector to the Electoral College from Massachusetts, representing the Democratic Party.

For those who've been around for a term or more, you are likely aware that the DSC votes to appoint the 11 members who will serve as Electors, who physically cast the Presidential & Vice Presidential ballots in December that confirm how Massachusetts votes in the General Election.

I've never run for this office and would love the opportunity to do so. I'm asking for your support and vote at the August 3rd meeting in Leominster at 99 Erdman Way, Leominster, MA 01453, when this election will be held. I usually make a concerted effort to call text, visit, email, Facebook message, and other means of reaching out to fellow members. I'm choosing not to do that because I'm focused on campaigning hard, including the usual stuff like door knocking, visiting swing states and other activities to get out the vote for our nominee and the down ballot races.
